Rabbit hair is very soft, warm, breathable, hygroscopic, comfortable and elegant.
Rabbit hair is composed of keratin. Both villus and coarse hair have medullary layer. The pith of villus is single row intermittent or narrow block. The pith of coarse hair is wide, multi row block and contains air. Long and thin fiber, white color, good luster, soft and fluffy, strong warmth retention.
However, the fiber has less curl, smooth surface, poor cohesion and low strength. The fine wool is 15.9-27.4cn/tex, the coarse wool is 62.7-122.4cn/tex, and the average elongation at break is 31% - 48%. The reaction to acid and alkali is similar to wool.
Rabbit hair is difficult to be pure spun, most of which can be blended with other fibers to make knitwear and woven fabrics.
